Under the National Employment Standards (NES) and the Fair Work Act 2009, permanent employees can take at least 4 weeks of paid annual leave if they have worked continuously for their employer for 1 year or longer. The Annual Leave Policy explains an employee’s annual leave entitlements and responsibilities and the procedure the employer must follow when an employee wants annual leave, as well as a signed Employee Acknowledgement of the policy.
