HR - Employee Induction Package
Welcome the new employee and ensure that you provide all paperwork and information with this package of 6 documents. The Employee Induction Procedure provides practical steps for introducing a new starter to the workplace and ensuring that they are comfortable with their environment and have all the necessary tools to competently perform their job. The New Starter Checklist ensures managers provide the new employee with all the information they need to competently perform their role; such as introductions, site inductions, health and safety procedures, organisational information and the required documentation. Under the Fair Work Act 2009, all new employees must be provided with a copy of the Fair Work Information Statement. Although probationary periods are not a legislative requirement, many workplaces utilise this method of training and induction. This package also includes the following documents for use by managers and HR officers: a letter to advise an employee of the successful end to their probation period and their commencement as a permanent employee; a welcome letter to advise a new employee of the start time and location for their first day on the job; a form to obtain authorisation and bank details from employees for direct debit of pay into a bank account; and a form to obtain personal and emergency contact details from the new employee at the start of employment and whenever circumstances change.
